Sensorimotor Psychotherapy
Healing happens not just through understanding our struggles intellectually, but through befriending our nervous systems and learning their unique language.
Sensorimotor Psychotherapy explores what your body communicates through sensation, movement, and impulse, using gentle experiments to understand what's happening beneath conscious awareness.
By attending to both "top-down" (thoughts influencing body) and "bottom-up" (body informing understanding) processes, we help your system naturally reorganize toward greater flexibility and choice — discovering that what we've been fighting often transforms when we approach it with curiosity.
I-CBT
OCD tells powerful stories that make you doubt what you know to be true — about yourself, reality, and what's actually happening around you.
Rather than fighting these thoughts or analyzing whether your fears could be true, I-CBT helps us identify the "obsessional doubts" driving them and reconnect you with your authentic self-trust to move through them.
This approach honors that beneath the OCD, you already possess the wisdom to distinguish between imagination and reality — we're simply helping you find your way back to that knowing.
ACT-based ERP
Sometimes the path through anxiety involves gently approaching what we've been avoiding, and learning through direct experience that discomfort— while unpleasant — is survivable.
In ERP, we explore your relationship with uncertainty at a pace that challenges without overwhelming, while ACT helps clarify what matters most to you and what frees you from rumination.
When aligned with your goals, this approach works particularly well for specific phobias, OCD, and can be helpful for panic as well.
I've answered common questions about these approaches in my FAQ —you might find it helpful to explore there.
